Ever since we went to New York it´s like TFF (The Fagget Fairys and I will get back to why we are now also known as TFF)- has taken off!! Everyday we receive mails from people around the world, who tell us they´ve been dancing their ass of to either Uzela or Samo Ti. And we hear that our tracks are being played on radio stations in both Budapest and France. WE LIKE;-)
Okay and then back to the TFF thing. The thing is that in the states a lot of things is driven by commercials, also parties. We also use sponsors here in Copenhagen when we have a party, but I never experienced a sponsor censor a DJ because of his/her name.
When we were in NYC we were supposed to play at a party together with Simian Mobile Disco, But Camel cigarettes (being sponsors) wouldn´t want to be associated with the name "Fagget Fairys", thus we didn´t get to play.
After that experience we started talking about whether or not to change our name. That discussion has been rather funny...here are some of the alternatives we came up with: "The blee....p fairys", "FF" until my mother told us that was the english slang for finger fucking but hi maybe thats not so bad for two lesbian lovers;-), "Fabulous Fairys, "Freaks and Fairys" and now TFF = The Fagget Fairys.
We are still not sure we like it, basically we just think it´s ridiculous that a name, and a very humorous one, can prevent us from getting gigs and maybe even sell records in some parts of the world.
Well if you have a thought on this please share it with us...

Fagget Fairys & Diesel

We would like to thank Diesel and especially Louise Mo, for supporting us. As we are releasing the album on a very small NY underground label, they didn´t have the money to pay our tickets. As I´ve worked with Diesel on their yearly "Stay in" event and always saw them as a mainstream label who sincerely cared about the underground art scene, I thought that maybe they would be cool enough to support the fairys making it in New York...And they did! Thank you;-)

New York Studio Sessions

We were fortunate enough to rent a room with a danish producer, Rasmus Bille Bahncke who most people (especially danes) would know from supaflyas. This "accident" happend to be the beginning of another great love story. A musical love story. Ena and I invited Rasmus and his wife to our release party and I think he was a bit surprised to hear and see us in action. At least he asked us if we would like to go into the studio with him and we DID! As it turned out we all three totally connected and magic happend in his home studio for the following two days.
We did two finished (killer) tracks in two days and we will be back in NYC within a month to create an entire album!

A Love story.

Our story started one year ago, when one night while I was playing at Vega, suddenly noticed a beautiful, sensual young woman dancing infront me. As it turned out she had already chosen me by then and thus, not many days went by before a life long lovestory had begun...I won´t go into details here but we have been together since and live together in our garage at Islandsbryggen in Copenhagen.
